PRESENTATION OF THE STUDY REPORT: A Framework for Action to Support Quebec’s Biopharmaceutical Innovations and Bolster Quebec’s Autonomy

Presentation of the Study Report: A Framework for Action to Support Quebec’s Biopharmaceutical Innovations and Bolster Quebec’s Autonomy

Quebec has a rich history and vibrant tradition of biopharmaceutical research and development. The discovery and development of these innovations serve to improve the public’s health. However, to be used to their fullest extent, they must be integrated into the healthcare system and patients need to have access to them.

A widespread perception among BIOQuébec’s members is that it is more difficult to integrate Quebec drugs and biopharmaceutical industry products in Quebec. By commissioning this study, BIOQuébec wanted to explore this perception and measure the extent to which biopharmaceutical innovations are integrated into the province’s healthcare system.

Our analyses indicated a difference between Quebec and the rest of Canada, which led to the drafting of possible solutions to improve the situation.

BIOQuébec is inviting its members to an exclusive presentation of the results of the study on the integration of innovations into our healthcare system. Speakers will include the study’s authors: Bernard Lachapelle, President of The JBL Group, a consultancy firm specializing in Canada’s pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, and Alain Dubuc, an economist and special counsel at the firm.

Join us for this special presentation on April 21 at 8:15 a.m., offered exclusively to BIOQuébec members
